Product Update: Version 3.13

We’re back with new and improved features including Alarm Policies for more flexible alarm event management. Enhanced functionalities in Bulk Event Management, Asset and Sensor Dashboards, Rack Layout Export, 3D Layouts, and Linux Data Collector’s VMware support are now available. Lastly, temperature bands have been updated in line with ASHRAE 2021 Thermal Guidelines.

NEW FEATURE

Alarm Policies

Now, if you’re an admin, you can set up global policies for alarm notifications based on things like asset type, location, and even specific users or groups. This will make your team’s life a whole lot easier when dealing with alarms.

The best part? These notifications can be sent out based on the global policy or individual user watch policies. So, you’ve got a lot more freedom to handle things the way you want.

Assets Dashboard

We’ve spiced up the asset dashboard with a couple of nifty features:

  • Auto-refresh: Tired of hitting refresh? No worries! Your dashboards can now auto-refresh every 2 minutes or whenever you feel like it.
  • Per-asset Dashboard: Want to make your dashboard truly yours? Go ahead and customize it for a specific asset or even for an entire asset type.

Other Enhancements

Sensor Dashboard

The sensor dashboard got an upgrade which also includes auto-refresh and enhanced graphic titles that detect sensors with the same name and add differentiating information if available.

3D Floor Plan Layout

You can now see your asset dimensions in awesome 3D layouts. And that’s not all, you can update the data on the asset properties page and watch it spring to life in 3D on the Layout page.

ASHRAE Temperature Bands

ASHRAE Temperature Bands

We’ve tweaked the temperature bands in our 2D and 3D Location layouts to match up with the ASHRAE 2021 Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments. That’s right, we’re keeping it cool and compliant.

Bulk Event Management

We’ve just made your life a whole lot easier for power users and above. Now, you can bulk acknowledge, un-acknowledge, and close events right from the event tab of an asset or the Asset Tracker info panel. It’s like spring cleaning, but for your events.

Linux-Version Data Collector

The Linux-Version Data Collector has levelled up and now plays nice with VMware vCenter and ESXi discovery. And there’s more – we’re also rolling out support for AlmaLinux9 for deploying your Linux-Version Data Collector. So, it’s all systems go on the Linux front.

Notable Bug Fixes

  • AS-11794 Fixed an issue that caused the Data Collector to be changed on a done work order when changed on the linked asset
  • AS-12229 and AS-12231 Fixed issues with aligning selected shapes in the layout editor top and left
  • AS-12255 Fixed an issue that, under certain circumstances, caused Javascript console errors when adding or modifying a rack
  • AS-12632 Fixed an issue that caused units of measure to not show based on user-specified Locale settings when performing an Advanced Search
